Our objectives are simple: to inspire travellers to visit by showcasing the continent’s best safari experiences, and to tailor-make safari trips that help manifest each traveller’s personal safari dream.
Art of Safari is the brainchild of Gary Lotter, and was brought to life in partnership with Trevor Fernandes and Clint Perring.
Gary started his career in the African safari industry in the early 90s as a safari guide at one of Africa’s most established luxury safari lodges, Londolozi Private Game Reserve. After Londolozi joined &Beyond – one of the continent’s largest luxury safari operators – Gary moved into management, living and working his way across South, Southern and East Africa (and India) over 19 years with the group. He left &Beyond as COO, and headed up two other companies as CEO – running four very different, well-known African travel brands – before founding Art of Safari. Gary continues with CEO duties, overseeing Art of Safari’s day-to-day operations.
Trevor has spent the last 30-odd years designing and operating luxury safaris for Wildlife Safari, a high-end safari operator based in Kenya – established by his father, Tom, more than 40 years ago. Apart from being one of Kenya’s most established destination-management companies, Wildlife Safari has extended its business footprint by investing in the Southern World group, an established tour company selling Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Trevor plays an invaluable advisory role to the Art of Safari management team.
Clint is a strategic digital communications specialist with more than 20 years of experience. He’s the owner and creative director of Kri8it, a full-service digital agency that he founded in 2001. With studios in Cape Town, George and Ireland, Clint oversees the design and development of beautiful, functional and responsive websites for numerous long-standing, high-profile clients – locally and abroad. The agency also provides effective digital marketing solutions, apps and social-media campaigns. Clint is Art of Safari’s go-to digital guru.
