A Lion & Lioness Seen From Above

The strongest male in a pride of lion (Panthera leo) is usually the leader. He’s responsible for the safety of the lionesses and cubs, and in return, he gets first option to mate when a lioness is in heat. Once he’s had his fill, the lioness often mates with the other pride males. Lions and lionesses can be found in the safari destinations of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
