A Lion & Cub Showing Affection

Of all the big cats, the African lion (Panthera leo) is the most sociable, living in close prides of up to three males, 12 or so related females and their young. As the male cubs come of age, they leave the family unit, going off to establish their own prides. You can find lion in the safari destinations of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
