Next, head north to the Okavango Delta in Botswana – a wondrous waterland of channels and lagoons, waiting to be explored by mokoro, boat and safari vehicle.
Welcome to Cape Town! On arrival, you’ll be met and shown to your awaiting transfer vehicle where you’ll embark on a private road transfer to the Cape Grace Hotel. Here you can enjoy breakfasts, the use of the hot spa area with steam room and sauna as well as luxury chauffeur transfers within a 10km radius of the City Bowl.
Wake up to enjoy a breakfast at the Cape Grace before you set off on your day of leisure, exploring the Mother City as you wish. There are exhilarating outdoor adventures, incredible dining opportunities and many cultural experiences on offer in and around Cape Town. A highlight here is taking a tour around the Cape Peninsula, and stopping to swim with seals (additional cost).
Wake up in your own time. After fuelling up with breakfast at the Cape Grace, spend the day again at your leisure, exploring Cape Town and its surrounds. Perhaps venture out to the Cape Winelands to sample the many award-winning wines on offer in this magnificent part of the world (additional cost).
Enjoy breakfast then embark on a private road transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your scheduled flight to Maun Airport. On arrival you will be met and assisted onto your light-aircraft flight to Nxabega Airstrip, where you will be met and driven to Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp, with game viewing en route. Settle in and let the next part of your adventure begin.
Wake up and head out on a game drive in this remote and secluded area, with very few vehicles sharing the private concession. Sensitive off-road driving practices allow you to get up close to the area’s exceptional wildlife. Return to camp, enjoy your meals and a dip in the pool or a siesta if you choose before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Continue on into the night, allowing for an opportunity to see the nocturnal animals, including leopard and serval. Return to camp where you can enjoy dinner and sit around the crackling fire while taking in the sounds of the night.
The delta is probably best known for its seasonal mokoro boating rides through its maze-like channels and shallow lagoons. This is a great way to go game viewing – as you glide silently through the channels approaching the wildlife silently you will see more. In between your game-viewing activities, enjoy the camp with its indoor and outdoor sitting and dining areas, extensive pool area with inviting loungers and shaded salas; and a dedicated massage sala and a spectacular open-air boma, ideal for those buffet feasts under the stars.
Today brings another day to get up close and personal with Nature. Game viewing is also offered in motorised boats. These trips allow you to cover more ground, and should allow you to see more of the landscape, although some of the wildlife can be scared off by the noise. This activity is seasonal and dependent on the water levels. End the day off with dinner and catch up on the day’s adventures around the campfire.
Enjoy your breakfast and depart on a game-viewing road transfer to the airstrip, where you will head off on a light-aircraft flight to Maun for your onward travel arrangements.
