After arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met and transferred to your accommodation for the night – a journey of around 45 minutes depending. Relax in the pretty gardens and recover from your international flights before your safari begins tomorrow.

After breakfast, depart in your private safari vehicle for Tarangire National Park, a journey of approximately four hours. Do a short game drive through the conservancy and arrive at camp in time for lunch. After a rest, set off on an afternoon game drive to explore the national park with your guide, returning to camp for sundowner drinks and dinner. Tarangire is a beautiful park to explore, with high populations of elephant, superb birdlife and a landscape that is punctuated by baobab trees, verdant swamps and distant volcanoes.

Today you’ll explore Tarangire with your driver-guide, slowly driving through this diverse national park in search of its flora and fauna. Your camp is located outside the main national park in a small conservancy, so a picnic lunch with accompany you, allowing to maximise your time here. You’ll return in the late afternoon to shower and enjoy sunset in camp.

Depart Tarangire River Camp, enjoying a game drive on your way out of the park and then continuing to Lake Manyara National Park. Stop for a picnic lunch as you explore this small but vibrant reserve. The lakeshore is home to flocks of flamingos and pelicans, while the forests are home to elephant, bushbuck and a variety of monkeys. In the mid-afternoon, you’ll drive onward, up the wall of the Great Rift Valley and into the Ngorongoro highlands, characterised by a patchwork quilt of small farms and coffee plantations. Stay near the market town of Karatu for the next two nights.

Today, enjoy game drives in the Unesco World Heritage site that is the Ngorongoro Crater. This dormant volcano provides a natural sanctuary for a wonderful diversity of wildlife, including black rhino, lion, buffalo, elephant, leopard and more. Typically, you will spend the morning exploring with your guide, have a picnic lunch and then depart in the mid-afternoon to your lodge to relax for the remainder of the day.

After an early breakfast, depart with your driver-guide for the open plains of the Serengeti. You will drive around the western part of Ngorongoro Crater before dropping down into the savannah and entering the park before stopping in a shady spot for lunch. Once you’re within the Serengeti, you will game drive as you make your way north to the central region of the park, stopping to enjoy wildlife sightings on the way. Arrive at your camp in the mid/late afternoon and enjoy a well-earned rest before dinner.

Enjoy game drives with your driver-guide, exploring the open savannah of the Serengeti in the early morning and late afternoon, returning to camp for lunch.
