Today you will be transferred to Chobe Bakwena Lodge for your two-night stay. This is an intimate, privately owned eco-lodge on the banks of the Chobe River, where you can enjoy two activities per day – focused on both land and water-based safaris. In between, relax around the natural swimming pool or enjoy a well deserved siesta.

Early morning and afternoon drives ensure every game drive box is ticked. Experienced guides with extensive knowledge of Chobe National Park provide an entertaining and educational addition to your safari. Today you’ll head to Kasane Airport for your scheduled flight into the Khwai Private Reserve. On arrival, a guide will be waiting to take you to Elephant Pan Camp, your base for the next three nights. Set beside the area’s only permanent water source — a natural gathering spot for wildlife — the camp offers wonderful game viewing, often right from the comfort of your tent.

Rise early for a morning game drive along the banks of the Khwai River. Later, unwind at the lodge or cool off in the pool before heading out again for an afternoon drive through a section of the 200,000‑hectare private concession that Elephant Pan calls home. As the day draws to a close, gather in the open‑air boma to watch the fire crackle and soak in the sounds of the African night.

Today, enjoy a guided walk from the camp and get a new perspective on your surroundings! Why not adventure to the new underground hide, which offers a spectacular vantage point of Elephant’s Pool. Situated about 20 minutes from camp, here you’ll have the chance to watch elephant, zebra, giraffe, wild dog and other wildlife as they come to cool off and rehydrate. This is a wonderful experience and a photographer’s dream.
