A short but exciting hop in a light aircraft brings you to your second camp, an otherworldly destination nestled on the world’s largest inland delta, the Okavango. Here you’ll spend three nights exploring this watery wonderland, and seeing the myriad wildlife species it supports.
From Maun Airport, you’ll embark on your 20-minute light-aircraft flight to Camp Moremi. Once you’ve settled in, start your experience by joining in for meals and activities provided by the lodge. Here activities include a choice of morning and afternoon game drives throughout the many different ecosystems that the Moremi Game Reserve has to offer, or the possibility to explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and its surrounding channels by boat.
Rise and shine, it’s time to explore. After an early morning wake-up call, enjoy a light continental breakfast followed by a three-to-four hour morning activity. Brunch will then be served, after which you’ll have time to relax and take in your surroundings. Afternoon tea will be served on the open-air patio, followed by your afternoon safari activity. You’ll arrive back at the lodge in time to freshen up and enjoy your dinner.
Today is a day for being as active or relaxed as you wish. Spend the day at your leisure, wandering around the lodge, reading or simply enjoying the surroundings, or partake in the lodge’s scheduled safari activities. Of course, the lodge’s fine meals will keep you sated, whatever you choose to do.
Today you’ll embark on your 10-minute light-aircraft flight from Camp Moremi to Camp Okavango. Get comfortable and begin to roam the vast expanses of water from the comfort of a modern motorboat or explore the intricacies of the Okavango Delta the quiet old-fashioned way, in a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe).
Awake in the early morning to the sounds of the bush, and enjoy a light continental breakfast followed by a three-to-four hour morning activity. Return to camp for brunch, after which you’ll have time to relax and take in your surroundings. Afternoon tea will be served on the open-air patio, followed by your afternoon activity. Enjoy dinner at the lodge.
Today, spend the day at your leisure. Choose to unwind at the lodge, looking through your photos or catching up on some reading, or go out and enjoy the lodge’s safari activities, discovering all the Okavango Delta has to offer. Meals will be served at the lodge, as usual.
Today brings you to the end of your safari. You’ll enjoy breakfast at the camp and then embark on your light-aircraft transfer from Camp Okavango to Maun Airport, for your onward travel arrangements.
