13-Day South Africa & Botswana Cape Town, Timbavati Private Nature Reserve & Okavango Delta

Welcome to Cape Town! You’ll be met on arrival – as you disembark the aircraft or airport bus, depending on if the aircraft is in the terminal or on the apron – and assisted through immigration, baggage collection and customs. You’ll then be shown to your awaiting transfer vehicle, and you’ll embark on a private road transfer to your accommodation.

Wake up to enjoy a breakfast at Four Rosmead Boutique before you set off on your day half-day Cape Town City tour. Wonder at the fine, old buildings representing various cultures over the years. Explore the Castle of Good Hope, South Africa Museum and more. Visit Table Mountain where, weather permitting, you can ascend to 1000m above sea level on the aerial cableway to enjoy views over the city and peninsula (cable way ticket not included due to weather).

Wake up to breakfast before hopping on your full-day Cape Point and Peninsula tour, going from the city centre to Cape Point for a delicious picnic lunch. Experience magnificent beaches, breahtaking views and picturesque coastal villages en route.

Have an early breakfast before heading off to the Cape Winelands, to sample the many award-winning wines on offer in this magnificent part of the world. You may even get a chance to blend your own wine.

From Four Rosemead Boutique Hotel, embark on a private road transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your scheduled flight to Hoedspruit Airport (cost excluded). You’ll then be met and transferred to Tanda Tula Safari Camp. Settle in relax and let the safari begin.

Wake up in the African bush! Here, you can have your breakfasts served in the bush and in the evenings, dine under the stars in the boma, along the riverbed or in the garden. The guides and trackers here will offer informative, exciting and unique game-viewing experiences.

Once again, the day is yours to spend at leisure around the lodge, experiencing the safari activities on offer and dining in the bush and under the stars. Picnics can also be arranged at the Machaton Dam hide.

From Tanda Tula Safari Camp, embark on a private road transfer to Hoedspruit Airport for your scheduled flight to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg (cost excluded). You’ll be met and transferred to The Peech, where you’ll spend the evening.

Enjoy breakfast at The Peech, and embark on your private road transfer to OR Tambo International Airport for your scheduled flight to Maun Airport in Botswana (cost excluded). From Maun, you’ll embark on a light-aircraft flight to Khwai Airstrip, and transferred by road to Machaba Camp.

Spend the day at your leisure taking in your surroundings, savouring your meals and discovering the delta. Here you can enjoy two of the camps scheduled activities per day, which include morning, afternoon and night game drives, walking safaris (guide dependent), mokoro excursions (water-level dependent) and a visit to the local community‍.

Depart Machaba Camp and embark on your road transfer to Khwai Airstrip, where you’ll catch your light-aircraft flight to Qorokwe Airstrip. Once again you can enjoy taking part in the camp’s scheduled activities, including morning, afternoon and night game drives, walking trails and mokoro excursions (water-level dependent).

Spend the day at your leisure in this area that has been a well-kept secret for many years, watching the wildlife come and go. Partake in the activities on offer, enjoy a hearty meal and sit out under the African sky with a glowing fire for the perfect end to your day.
