Your journey begins with a stop in Arusha, before you set off, driving through Lake Manyara National Park and the scenic Great Rift Valley en route to Ngorongoro Crater, for impressive wildlife viewing, before hitting the Serengeti – land of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Finally, end your trip on the beach in Zanzibar.
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and transferred to Rivertrees Country Inn for your overnight stay. Freshen up after your journey, take a dip in the pool or unwind in the sprawling greenery while you recover from your international flight. Get an early night’s rest before your safari itinerary kicks off in the morning!
After breakfast, depart with your safari guide in a private 4×4 safari vehicle, seeing the local life as you pass through small villages and towns. Enjoy a game drive through Lake Manyara National Park, where you’ll experience a variety of birdlife and, keep your eyes peeled for lions, elephants and buffalo…to name a few. Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your journey, ascending to the crater rim, where you’ll enjoy spectacular views over the crater before arriving at your accommodation.
Today you’ll have the option of enjoying a game drive in the famous Ngorongoro Crater, with its abundance of wildlife, including black rhino, wildebeest, zebra and eland. There are a number of lions, which are typically larger in size than an average lion due the large amount of game in the area. Alternatively, visit the local villages or experiencing the beauty of the area on foot by hiking the nearby Empakaai or Olmoti volcanic craters. Enjoy dinner and a crackling fire to end off the day.
Today, the adventure continues as you drive from the crater rim into the plains of the Serengeti. Enter through Naabi Hill Gate, stopping at a shady spot for a picnic lunch and a walk up Naabi Hill to stretch your legs and take in the splendid views. Continue to camp, viewing the wildlife as you drive, arriving mid-afternoon to relax and freshen up before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner and campfire to bring an end to a spectacular day.
Wake up to the sounds of the bush, enjoy a coffee and set off on a game drive into the central Serengeti. Experienced guides encourage guests to see and experience the Serengeti through their eyes, sharing a world of small and large wonders that only they truly know and understand. Enjoy lunch at camp, relax and take in the surrounding views before your afternoon game drive. End the day around a crackling fire, under the star-studded African sky.
Today, you could start your day in an unforgettable way in a hot-air balloon (at an additional cost and pre-booking is recommended) soaring high above the park at sunrise and enjoying a Champagne breakfast afterwards. Otherwise, spend another day game driving through the plains of the Serengeti.
After breakfast, depart camp and make your way to the airstrip. Here you will bid your guide farewell as you board your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival at the Airport, you will be met and transferred by road to Breezes Beach Club on the southeast coast of the island. Settle in and while away some time on your private terrace or head out to experience the many activities on offer. To end the days, head to one of the restaurants to enjoy table dinners alternating with exotically-themed buffets.
Choose to relax beside the pool – enjoying views over the ocean, have a drink at the bar, take part in the water sports on offer. You can even test your skill in a game of tennis or perhaps treat yourself at the spa. Today, the world is your oyster!
Spend the day at your leisure relaxing around the lodge and on a Zanzibari Beach. For an additional cost, sail off on a traditional dhow, snorkel or dive through the pristine coral gardens of Zanzibar.
After breakfast, you will depart for Zanzibar International Airport where you will catch your connecting flight for your onward journey.
