After a hearty breakfast, you’ll be transferred by road to Wilson Airport in time for your scheduled charter flight to the Masai Mara. You’ll be welcomed at the airstrip and embark on a 30-minute road transfer, with game viewing en route, to Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp. Enjoy lunch, relax and then have an afternoon game drive. End the day next to the crackling fire while sipping your wine and sharing stories of your day’s adventures.

Wake up to the sounds of the bush and set out in an open 4×4 safari vehicle, searching for the incredible wildlife in the Masai Mara. This morning, after a delicious breakfast you’ll take a road transfer to depart on your scheduled flight from Kichwa Airstrip to Entebbe International Airport. Here you’ll make your way to domestic departures where you’ll board your flight to Kihihi Airstrip. Kihihi lies on the borders of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest which is home to half the world’s remaining population of critically endangered mountain gorilla. You’ll be collected and welcomed, and driven to your lodge.

Tuck in to a hearty breakfast overlooking the majestic mist covered slope of the mountain. Soak up the anticipation as the guide briefs you and you get ready for your gorilla trek in the Nkuringo area. Follow in the steps of your porter as the light trickles through the canopy of the rainforest. Take in the sounds, smells and feelings as you acquaint yourself with actual living, breathing, free gorillas. Later, return to the lodge and sink into a comfortable seat in front of a crackling fireplace and recount every highlight of the experience with your companions.

If you choose, enjoy another day trekking to the gorillas (today’s permit is not included in the safari price). After a scrumptious breakfast, you’ll take a two-hour transfer in a shared lodge vehicle to Kihihi Airstrip, where a scheduled light-aircraft flight to Entebbe International Airport awaits you. From here you’ll embark on your onward arrangements. (Please note that the scheduled flight makes two stops at different airstrips before arriving in Entebbe International Airport).
