Welcome to Cape Town! You’ll be met on arrival – as you disembark the aircraft or airport bus, depending on if the aircraft is in the terminal or on the apron – and assisted through immigration, baggage collection and customs. You’ll then be shown to your awaiting transfer vehicle, and you’ll embark on a private road transfer to your accommodation.

After breakfast, your rental vehicle will be waiting at your hotel for you to set off on your day of leisure, exploring the Mother City as you wish. There are exhilarating outdoor adventures, incredible dining opportunities and many cultural experiences on offer in and around Cape Town.

Wake up in your own time. After fuelling up with breakfast at your hotel, spend the day again at your leisure, exploring Cape Town and its surrounds. Perhaps drive around the Cape Peninsula, and stop to swim with seals (additional cost).

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and wind your way to the heart of the Cape Winelands – through superb mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads. Spend the morning exploring before checking into your accommodation in Franschhoek.

Rise and shine to enjoy your breakfast before spending the day at your leisure, exploring the winelands. This is the place to experience gourmet cuisine and fine dining on cobbled terraces, visit the farms and indulge yourself in the wonders of this majestic area.

After breakfast, depart Franschhoek and travel along Route 62 to Oudtshoorn – the ‘feather capital’ of the world, situated in the Klein Karoo between the Swartberg and Outeniqua mountains. Check into your accommodation in the afternoon and spend the evening at your leisure.

Enjoy breakfast at your lodge, and take the day to explore the surrounding area and its highlights. The world’s biggest bird is just one of the many attractions in this area of exceptional contrasts and natural beauty. The region is also home to the spectacular Cango Caves, a 20-million-year-old network of limestone chambers.

After breakfast, depart your lodge and make your way towards Graaff-Reinet, the fourth oldest settlement in the country. The town is filled with historical buildings, restored pre-Victorian homes and a collection of museums and galleries.

After breakfast, depart Graaff-Reinet and take an approximate three-hour drive to Amakhala Game Reserve, where you can relax and unwind in the bush. Experience an afternoon game drive and thereafter enjoy dinner at the lodge before spending the evening at the outdoor fireplace, admiring the unspoilt African starscape.

Wake up to the sound of birds and the smell of the bush. Enjoy morning and afternoon shared game drives leaving from the lodge. You will be guided by informative, professional rangers through Amakhala Game Reserve in open Land Rovers.

Today once again you can spend the day at leisure between the morning and afternoon game drives offered by the lodge. Here you can return to nature and explore the abundant wildlife, the diverse vegetation and the dramatic landscape of the Eastern Cape.

After breakfast, depart the lodge and make your way to Port Elizabeth International Airport, where you will return your rental car and continue your journey as per your own arrangements.
