Take in both Zambia and Zimbabwe on this 11-day safari. Your adventure starts in Livingstone, in Zambia where you can enjoy all the experiences Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River have to offer. Next, pop over the border to Hwange in Zimbabwe, famed for its elephant herds. After three nights in the bush, it’s time for some water action, first with two nights at Lake Kariba then three at Mana Pools.

Welcome to Zambia! You’ll be met at Livingstone Airport by a representative, who will take you to Thorntree River Lodge for your two-night stay. You’ll be met by the camp manager and briefed on the camp, the daily schedule, meal times, and the activities available to you both at the lodge and in Livingstone Town.

Wake up to experience two of your Take a guided tour of the Zambian side of the infamous Victoria Falls, enjoy a sunset river cruise, try your hand at fishing or track rhino. Alternatively, visit the local museum, markets and shops to get a glimpse of historic and modern Livingstone town or visit the local village and school to learn about the people and culture of this part of Zambia.

Today you’ll be transferred across the border to Victoria Falls Airport to connect with your scheduled flight to Hwange. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by a guide who will transfer you to Somalisa Camp for your three-night stay. Here you’ll be able to experience two daily activities, consisting of day and night game drives, walking safaris, bird watching and cultural tours to the local villages.

Wake up in the African bush! Today, try your hand at a guided walking safari. Here they believe that there’s much more to an African safari than being driven around in a vehicle while passively viewing animals. In combining a walk with an expert guide, they will create the complete journey, where experiences, knowledge and passions are shared. End your day on an evening game drive in the private concession within Hwange National Park.

Today you’ll be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Bumi Airstrip in Kariba. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by a guide who will transfer you to the camp, which is set on an elevated position on a range of remote hills overlooking the vastness of Lake Kariba. While you’re here, you can experience two daily activities, inclusive of game drives, birding, fishing, cultural excursions and lunch on Starvation Island. Relax, settle in and enjoy!

Spend the day at your leisure enjoying your two daily activities. Why not experience the thrill of catching the razor-toothed tiger, kilogram-for-kilogram one of the world’s most powerful freshwater species? You could enjoy a delicious lunch on Starvation Island or visit the local communities with their ancient traditions, living largely subsistence lifestyle. Experience glorious game viewing by boat as well as traditional open 4×4 vehicles and walking in the wilds with an armed professional guide. End the day with dinner from atop the hills, undoubtedly one of the best views of Lake Kariba.

Today you’ll be transferred back to the airstrip for your scheduled flight from Bumi Airstrip to Mana Pools Airstrip. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by a guide, who will transfer you to Nyamatusi Camp. Set on one of the oldest rivers in the world, Nyamatusi allows guests to experience an authentic view of the old untouched Africa. While you are here, enjoy your twice-daily activities, including walking safaris, game drives, canoeing safaris, catch-and-release fishing and bird watching.

The day is yours to spend at leisure, enjoying your safari activities. The Lower Zambezi River is the perfect setting for an adventurous canoeing safari. Paddle along the lapping waters of the Zambezi River and breathe in the pristine views and life of Mana Pools National Park from a unique perspective. You’ll get the chance to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants and the incredible birdlife of the area.

Take a walk in the wild, away from the comfort of a safari vehicle! All your senses are suddenly awakened when you’re on foot. The walking guides will accompany you through the bush while teaching you about animal spoor, interesting insects, plants and the geology of the area. Perhaps you could spend the afternoon fishing from the banks of the Zambezi River – for tiger, bream (tilapia), vundu and many other species on a catch-and-release basis.
