Your adventure begins in Livingstone, where you’ll have three nights to explore the incredible Victoria Falls, the mighty Zambezi River and surrounds. After flying to Lusaka, you’ll be driven to South Luangwa, for three nights of safari fun and plenty of game viewing. Finally, you’ll fly to Lilongwe in Malawi, before transferring to Lake Malawi for four nights of beach bliss.

Today you’ll be transferred back to the airport for your scheduled flight to Mfuwe, via Lusaka. On arrival at Mfuwe Airport, you’ll be met by a guide who will transfer you by road to the camp – a journey of about an hour. The camp lies nestled under an ancient ebony grove on the banks of the Luangwa River, overlooking a game-rich area known as the Luangwa Wafwa.

While you are here, you can enjoy two game-viewing activities per day, with the option of day or night drives in open-top vehicles. You can also enjoy walking safaris, which are led by knowledgeable guides who will impart some amazing bush insights about the tracks and signs that the animals leave behind.

Today you’ll be transferred to Mfuwe Airport for your scheduled flight to Lilongwe in Malawi. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and embark on a three-hour road transfer to Pumulani, where will stay for the next four nights. Here you can relax on the sandy beach or enjoy an elevated view of the lake from the stylish infinity pool in between fishing, sailing, kayaking, snorkelling, nature and village walks and a sunset cruise on the dhow.

The lodge’s 40-foot traditional, hand-crafted dhow is a slow and relaxing way to enjoy the tranquillity of Lake Malawi, whether it be on an early morning breakfast cruise or a magical sunset cruise. The more experienced sailors can enjoy nipping around the lake on a dinghy. For an additional cost, the lodge has two speedboats that can whisk you around the lake on various water activities – such as water-skiing, wakeboarding or tubing – or drive you to a secluded spot, where you can jump out the boat and snorkel or dive, taking in the clouds of tropical fish that inhabit the water.

The day is yours to spend as you wish. You could take a walk from the lodge up into the hills enjoying the views and beauty as well as the wonderful birdlife. Coming down from the hills to the lakeshore, a kayak will meet you for a gentle paddle back. Perhaps today you choose take a walk through the village, seeing and having the local traditions and rituals explained to you.
