Welcome to your luxury safari in Kenya! Take a night to rest in Nairobi, recuperating from your flight, before heading out to Amboseli with your private guide. Spend two nights in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, watching elephant, before continuing on to Laikipia. After two nights in the foothills of Mount Kenya, spend a night in the Great Rift Valley at glorious Lake Naivasha. Then it’s on to the game-rich Masai Mara for your last three nights on safari.

Breakfast will be served at your hotel before you set off in your 4WD vehicle with your safari guide, towards Namanga. Enter Amboseli National Park and enjoy game viewing on the way to your safari lodge. Be in awe of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, providing a spectacular backdrop on your afternoon game drive. You’ll return around sunset, with time to freshen up before dinner.

Set off on your early morning game drive in anticipation of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-covered peak being clear and uncovered. Return for a late breakfast with the remainder of the morning to relax at the After lunch, take a late afternoon game drive around the many lakes and springs – fed by Kilimanjaro’s melting snows – in search of Amboseli’s legendary elephant herds.

Enjoy breakfast and depart on your flight to Laikipia via Nairobi, landing at Mugie airstrip to be welcomed and transferred to Governors’ Mugie House. Settle in before heading out on your afternoon game drive, taking time to explore the area and its diverse wildlife, including northern endemic species Grevy Zebra, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Reticulate Giraffe and Gerenuk.  Return to Governors’ Mugie House, with time to freshen up before dinner.

Wake up bright and early for your morning game drive, exploring the area – from the dam to Laikipia’s acacia-dotted landscape and olive forests. Lunch will be enjoyed at Mugie House with the afternoon at your leisure. Watch the waterhole and the visitors that frequent it, take a dip in the cool pool and set off again to watch the sunset during your late afternoon game drive. Return to camp for dinner and a crackling fire.

Enjoy breakfast before you depart for the Great Rift Valley – an area of hot springs, geysers, volcanoes and some of the oldest, largest and deepest lakes in the world. The alkaline shallow soda lakes are famous for their flamingo flocks, gathering to feed and breed along the lakes. Arrive at Governors’ Loldia House sitting on the banks of Lake Naivasha, one of two freshwater lakes on the rift. Spend the afternoon relaxing and taking in the views before enjoying dinner and ending the day off under the star-studded sky.

Your safari guide will arrange a day of exploring to suit your preferences before you return to your lodge. You’ll visit nearby Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its flamingo as well as a breeding sanctuary for the endangered black rhino, white rhino and the rare Rothschild giraffe. Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to your safari lodge for the evening.

Depart after breakfast, driving along the Great Rift Valley floor to enter the Masai Mara National Reserve. You’ll immediately begin game viewing, passing wildlife herds on the vast savannah plains before arriving at Governors’ Camp, resting peacefully in a riverine forest on the banks of the Mara River. Settle into your classic safari-style tent, freshen up and head out on your first game drive. Relish dinner before ending the day around the crackling campfire.

Wake at the crack of dawn, heading off in your 4×4 safari vehicle for some exceptional game viewing in the Masai Mara. Return to camp for lunch and leisure before you’re back on the vehicle for your next game drive. Return to enjoy dinner as the night sounds envelop you at the campfire.

Enjoy another morning game drive through the Masai Mara. Spotting zebra, topi, eland, impala to name but a few and always keeping an eye out for lion, leopard and cheetah that are found in greater concentrations in the Masai Mara than anywhere else in Africa. Once again, the rest of the day is at your leisure, enjoying the facilities at the lodge before heading out on your next game-spotting expedition as the sun sets over the African bush. Enjoy dinner at Camp before winding down for a peaceful night’s rest.
