Your African safari needn’t stop with game parks; there’s a whole new world to enjoy on Africa’s islands, beaches, and on and under the ocean waves. Spending time on the shores, seas and islands of Africa’s coast is the ideal counterpoint to a more terrestrial African safari. African beach holidays are the perfect way to unwind, and there’s a lot more to it than loungers and cocktails.
About the Author
I was born into a South African family that loves the wilderness, and most of my childhood holidays were spent in the bush and at the remote Wild Coast. Later, my post-study gap year working in a safari lodge in Sabi Sands Game Reserve evolved into 12 years in tourism in various parts of Africa, where I opened new lodges, set up private bush dinners, and more.
