SATSA bonding
Much like any reputable travel company, Art of Safari is financially bonded. What does this mean? It means that any deposit you make with us is protected by a bonding agency.
In our case, we’re bonded with the Southern African Tourism Services Association (SATSA), a credible member-driven organisation that has been operating successfully since 1969. To become a SATSA member, businesses must annually prove that they adhere to the highest standards of financial integrity, professionalism and service.
Our SATSA bond is essentially an insurance policy, protecting you, the consumer. Simply put, should Art of Safari encounter any financial turbulence before you have the chance to travel, you’re guaranteed to get your money back. So when booking with us, you can be confident that your investment in a luxury African safari with an Africa travel company is protected.
For more information visit the SATSA website, or see our SATSA certification here.
Travel insurance
It’s important to note that the financial protection offered by Art of Safari’s SATSA bonding is not travel insurance, as it doesn’t protect you from cancellation costs, curtailment fees or medical emergencies.
Should a medical emergency prevent you from travelling, or should you experience a medical emergency while travelling, you’ll need adequate travel insurance, and we strongly recommend that you purchase some as soon as you’ve made your safari arrangements.
While Art of Safari doesn’t sell travel insurance, we’d be happy to introduce you to trusted travel-insurance providers that specialise in African safari travel. When making your booking, ask us for details.
